WELCOME TO THE BEA MEMBERSHIP PAGE, WHERE
YOU ARE THE BEA!
BEA membership comprises of approximately 1600 educators making the Bridgeport Education Association the largest local in Connecticut.
THERE ARE TWO (2) TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP:
FULL MEMBERS
These members have all rights and benefits from the local (BEA), State (CEA), and National (NEA) unions.
AGENCY MEMBERS
These members have the rights to the grievance process and are a part of the collective bargaining agreement. Agency members are encouraged to become full members in order to receive maximum benefits. Legal services are not
Important Notice
If you have not applied to become a full member, you must do so immediately. The longer you wait, more money will be collected covering the days from the beginning of school. The sum will be taken out in one check. So apply now.
At the beginning of the school year, each full member will receive their membership cards. If you do not receive one or are not having dues deducted, please call the BEA office immediately. New members may not receive their cards until after their applications have been processed by CEA.
Any changes including name, address, phone, or school should be reported to the BEA immediately. Each school is encouraged to send a representative to each delegates meeting in order to receive updates and crucial information
